- I fished the Delaware River (PA side) in
the evening with poor results. I decided to
wrap it up after fishing two hours in 80+
degree heat with only one smallmouth bass to
show for my efforts. The bass was caught
using an olive woolly bugger. I tried an
orange and a yellow paddler and a dragon fly
larva, but to no avail. The tribs are down,
clear and warm. The main river is very
fishable but a little off-color. Warning, if
you plan to run the river on the PA side
between New Hope and Milford, fill your
tank, there are many road closures and
you'll find yourself taking alternates.

- I fished the Little Lehigh Creek, PA in
the afternoon. Stream conditions were less
than ideal with high discolored water and
flows at roughly 160 CFS. Fishing was slow
unless you were able to find a pod of fish.
I caught one trout on a size 16 drowned
black beetle. Hatches were near
non-existent, however a few fish broke the
surface to feed. Unsuccessful flies included
olive caddis larvae and emergers, grey wulff
and wooly buggers.
